Finding the Right Camp. The right place takes time.

When I started Grit Knives, I always imagined someone discovering one of my knives online, taking it into the field, and making it part of their own story. Retail wasn't something I rushed into. In fact, I intentionally held off. It was because I wanted to find the right store. I've had opportunities over the years, but I knew the first retail partner needed to feel like a natural extension of the brand. I didn't want Grit Knives sitting on a random shelf. I wanted it in a place where the products, the people, and the philosophy all lined up.
That's exactly what I found with VNTNA Supply Co. When my high school friend introduced me to the brand and the owners, Kevin and Eve.
If Grit Knives were a clothing brand, I honestly think it would be VNTNA. They appreciate quality, thoughtful design, and products built to be used, not just admired. That's the same philosophy I've tried to follow since the day I sold my first knife.
For years, these products have lived on my workbench, in my camera, and in cardboard shipping boxes headed to customers around the country (mostly Texas). Seeing them in a curated retail space made everything feel a little more real.
What makes this even more exciting is that it isn't just a retail partnership. It's the beginning of a collaboration. This feels like a big step, but it doesn't feel like the finish line. To everyone who's supported Grit Knives, whether you've bought a knife, carried one in the field, shared a post, or simply followed along, thank you. You helped make this possible.
If you're in the area, stop by VNTNA Supply Co. and check out the shop in person. Tell them Chuck sent you. You can also learn more about them by visiting their website. https://vntnaco.com/ I think you'll quickly see why I was willing to wait for the right retail partner.
Here's to new adventures and new Collabs
