Car Week 2025 in Carmel: A Local's Perspective
Share
Car Week has officially wrapped up here in Carmel, and as someone who's been lucky enough to live here for over a decade, I can honestly say this year felt bigger, louder, and more spectacular than ever. What started decades ago as a niche celebration of automotive history has transformed into a global phenomenon, and in 2025, it was on full display.
Walking the streets, you couldn’t miss the parade of exotics. Ferraris lined Ocean Avenue, Maseratis roared down Highway 1, and hypercars you normally only see on posters rolled casually past the coffee shops. The energy was electric, with car enthusiasts from all over the world flooding into our little coastal town.
Some of the highlights for me included:
-
A flawless Ferrari F40, still one of the most iconic machines ever built.
-
A lineup of Aston Martins, including a vintage Vantage parked just off Dolores.
-
Rare Porsches, including a 959 that turned heads everywhere it went.
-
And of course, the modern showstoppers: Rimacs, Paganis, and Koenigseggs that looked like spaceships parked against the backdrop of Carmel’s cottages.
The truth is, Car Week has grown massively, sometimes overwhelming for locals, but it’s hard not to appreciate the artistry and passion these machines represent. It’s one week where the streets of Carmel feel like a living museum of speed and design.
This year, I added my own spin on the experience. If you follow me on TikTok, you might’ve caught my supercar and knife pairings, matching some of the world’s greatest cars with blades from my Grit Knives collection. It’s been a fun way to blend two passions: craftsmanship and performance.
