The Hunter Scalpel Sold Out, Back to the Workbench
Share
The Hunter Scalpel sold out today, which is pretty damn cool, especially considering we’re right in the middle of deer season. I’ve still got a pile of Scalpels that need to be packaged and a whole lot of handmade sheaths that need to be made before these are ready to head out the door, so I’m going back to the workbench. I’m not going to keep taking orders just to have a bunch of knives sitting in the queue. I’d rather make the sheaths, finish this batch properly, and get them into your hands. Every sheath is handmade, and each piece of leather has its own character, so there’s a little bit of time involved in getting each one finished. And honestly, I don’t mind the timing. It’s deer season, so I’m bouncing between the shop and the field anyway, making knives and chasing deer when I can. The Hunter Scalpel was built for this time of year, and it’s pretty damn satisfying to see people putting them to work. I’ll get this batch finished, and when they’re ready, I’ll give the mailing list the first shot at the next drop with the exact time they’ll go live. If you want one, get on the list. Judging by what happened today, they probably won’t sit around very long. For now, I’ve got sheaths to make and deer season to enjoy.
Thanks for keeping me busy.
