This #60 carbon steel blade comes from a different manufacturer and delivers a sharper, longer-lasting edge than our standard replacement blades. It’s made for precision work where a clean, controlled cut matters, from skinning and caping to detailed taxidermy work.

And there’s one important difference: this blade is a very tight fit.

That tight fit keeps the blade from the occasional jiggle you can get with standard #60 blades, but it also means you cannot safely remove it by hand. Use a Leatherman, needle-nose pliers, or another appropriate tool when replacing the blade. Trying to pull it out with your fingers is a good way to learn why we don't recommend it.
