The Pointe Sur Utility Knife was built for the space between small detail work and full scale prep. With a 5 inch blade and a full tang rosewood handle, it is the knife that naturally bridges the gap between the Pfeiffer paring knife and the 8 inch Big Sur American chef’s blade.
When a paring knife feels too light and a chef’s knife feels like overkill, this is the one you reach for.
The 5 inch profile gives you precision at the tip for trimming silver skin, coring fruit, and handling tight detail work, while still offering enough length and knuckle clearance to move confidently through vegetables, proteins, and everyday prep. It is balanced, responsive, and comfortable through long sessions at the cutting board.
The full tang construction gives it strength and stability from heel to tip. The rosewood handle adds warmth and control, shaped to sit naturally in your hand whether you are working with a pinch grip or holding it back on the handle for more leverage. It feels grounded without being heavy, nimble without being delicate.
We named it after Point Sur, where sharp lines meet rugged coastline and everything feels purposeful. The Pointe Sur carries that same character, clean, capable, and built for real kitchens.
If the Pfeiffer handles the smallest tasks and the Big Sur commands the board, the Pointe Sur is the everyday workhorse that lives right in the middle. The knife you grab without thinking.
